The answer to becoming a stronger, leaner and faster runner is to see yourself as an athlete. 

If you just read that and rolled your eyes, thinking I am to old, to fat, to weak, to <you name it> to be an athlete, I totally get it. I would have said the same thing 10 years ago when I decided to become an athlete at age 46.

Whether you agree that seeing yourself as an athlete is the answer or not, can we at least agree that shaming or making excuses for yourself hasn't been working?
